Helego at TOOL JAPAN 2026
7–9 October 2026
From 7–9 October 2026, Helego exhibited at TOOL JAPAN at Makuhari Messe, introducing our bungee cords, ropes and fastening products to the Japanese market. At Booth 15-18, visitors explored a broad selection of products manufactured in Thailand, together with polished retail presentations developed for home centres, distributors and commercial partners.
Bringing Thai-manufactured cordage to Japan
TOOL JAPAN provided an important opportunity for Helego to introduce our product range directly to buyers, distributors and industry professionals in Japan.
Held at Makuhari Messe from 7–9 October 2026, the exhibition brought together companies working across hardware, tools, home improvement, outdoor equipment and professional supplies. At booth 15-18, Helego presented a broad selection of Thai-manufactured cordage and fastening products developed for practical use and organised retail presentation.
Our display focused on consistent manufacturing, functional product development and formats that can be introduced clearly to customers. Visitors were able to examine the materials, construction, fittings, packaging and overall presentation of the range in person.
Many visitors were surprised to learn that Helego products were not already available in Japan. Their response reflected the quality, consistency and finished appearance of the products presented at the exhibition.
Following TOOL JAPAN, Helego is looking to connect with home centres, distributors, importers and retail partners interested in bringing our products to customers across Japan.
Bungee cords manufactured in Thailand
Bungee cord was the main focus of Helego’s presentation at TOOL JAPAN 2026.
Thailand is internationally recognised for its natural-rubber industry. Helego builds on this material heritage through careful cord construction, component selection and practical product development.
The result is a versatile range of elastic cordage suitable for household organisation, outdoor activities, transport, storage and professional applications. The exhibition allowed visitors to compare raw elastic cord with finished fastening products and see how different constructions and fittings can support different uses.
Presenting these formats together helped demonstrate how a core material can be developed into a broader commercial range. It also created opportunities to discuss the product combinations, dimensions and presentations that may be suitable for Japanese hardware and home-improvement customers.
Practical products for different customers
The Helego range is developed around practical everyday requirements. Products must be functional, clearly presented and suitable for the customers and markets in which they will be sold.
At TOOL JAPAN, visitors could examine different cord constructions, fittings, sizes and finished formats in one display. This made it easier to understand the differences between products and consider how they could fit into existing hardware, household, outdoor or professional assortments.
The presentation also demonstrated the flexibility of the range. Products can be supplied in formats suited to individual consumers, organised retail shelves, trade customers or businesses requiring larger quantities.
Rather than presenting each product in isolation, the booth showed how different items can work together as part of a coordinated cordage and fastening range.
Designed from the product to the shelf
Helego’s work extends beyond the manufacture of the cord itself.
A successful retail product also requires appropriate lengths, components, labels, packaging and display formats. These details help customers understand the product and allow retailers to build a clear and organised assortment.
At TOOL JAPAN, products were shown with selected labels, packaging and assortment concepts suitable for retail presentation. The finished appearance led several visitors to believe that the Helego brand was already being sold in Japan.
This response highlighted the importance of presenting technical and practical products in a way that feels complete, accessible and ready for the shelf.
Helego can support distributors, retailers and commercial partners with product selection, packaging development and qualifying private-label programmes within our existing manufacturing capabilities.
Building opportunities in the Japanese market
TOOL JAPAN allowed the Helego team to better understand the interests and expectations of buyers working in Japan.
Face-to-face discussions provided useful insight into how products may be selected, presented and introduced through home centres, hardware retailers and distribution networks. These conversations are an important first step towards developing long-term relationships in the market.
Helego is not currently distributed widely in Japan, but the positive response at the exhibition showed clear potential for future cooperation.
